Being escape travel enthusiast, adventurer, nature conservation professional and passionate theatre actor I came to the idea of combining all these seemingly different elements into one well-functioning and amazing mechanism. After doing many off-the-beaten and beaten path trips during many years, I have come to a personal realization that today people are more and more often looking for original and most importantly authentic experiences. I am sure that this closely relates to the overall evolution of humanity and continuous search for our individuality and authenticity in everything around us and in everything we do. People not only want to “go places, do things and meet people”. In our globalized world, people want to go to authentic places, do eye-opening things and meet like-minded people. But you know what – I am also fully convinced that all the people who meet each other on this fascinating planet somehow are always like-minded. There are tools that clearly prove this. Such tools are well-known. While traveling individually or in small groups, seemingly total strangers often become best friends, breaking the cultural, language and all other imaginable and non-imaginable artificial barriers built by society.
I have been nature conservation expert, a consultant for 17 years. As biologist, convinced conservationist I strongly share the vision of sustainable tourism and responsible, nature-friendly traveling.
Besides travel, I also have found in my life another tool that almost literary do magic – and this is improvisation theatre. Travel and improvisation have very much in common. Both crash barriers among people, letting us enjoy the experience, being truly here and now, diminish our ego and to be totally free. I deeply believe that all kinds of travel should contribute to our natural temptation for freedom on personal and on the wider social level.
Along with all the above mentioned as a biologist, convinced conservationist I strongly share the vision of sustainable tourism and responsible, nature-friendly traveling.
I truly believe that personal and small like-minded group adventure is the best travel experience what everyone can have. I believe that every travel experience should be authentic. It should be a real escape travel, showing the best of the local nature and culture. I believe that open-minded travelers can help each other simply by suggesting you where to go, what to do and what to see. My aim is to suggest you the most authentic places. I believe that in travel becomes less and less about tourism and more and more about the real personal experiences. I follow the same principles while consulting both – travelers and eco-tourism developers.
I also deeply believe that any travel should contribute to better understanding between people, who come from different cultural backgrounds, as well as to breaking prejudices and barriers of communication. To make it simple traveling is also a great way of finding new friends.
I am also the founder of travel consultancy company “i-Dā Adventures” with a vision of the new revolutionary type of Travel Company. “i-Dā” comes from Latvian “aidā”, which means enthusiastic “let’s go”. English “i” emphasizes personal approach and at the same time far-reaching global goals of the company by using the benefits of the modern digital technologies.
My aim is to help you to write your own escape travel story that may lead to a new story of your life. I invite YOU to go to authentic places, do eye-opening things and meet like-minded people.
